Hi, I'm Ajay Sharma 👋

I built MATEXAi by myself. No team, no investors, just me and a laptop. I'm a developer who got tired of paying $20-50/month for AI tools that I only used a few times a week. It didn't make sense.

So I asked myself: What if AI was actually affordable? What if students could try AI tools without a credit card? What if developers could get coding help for less than a coffee subscription? What if paid plans gave you real value instead of artificial limits?

That's how MATEXAi started. Not as a grand vision or a startup pitch. Just as a simple idea: offer a free tier to try it out, and keep paid plans affordable for regular people.

Every line of code in MATEXAi was written by me. Every feature was designed with real users in mind—students cramming for exams, developers debugging at 2 AM, creators making social media content, writers trying to sound more human.

I'm not trying to build the next billion-dollar company. I'm trying to build something that actually helps people. That's it. That's the whole story.

Affordable AI for All: No one should have to choose between rent and an AI subscription. MATEXAi will always have a free tier, and paid plans will stay honest and affordable.
Built for Real Use: I test every feature myself. If I wouldn't use it, I won't ship it. Simple as that.
No BS Marketing: I'm not going to promise you'll "10x your productivity" or "revolutionize your workflow." MATEXAi does what it says: chat with AI, generate images, study better, write code faster, humanize text.

The Journey So Far

July 2025

The Idea

Got frustrated paying $40/month for ChatGPT Plus when I only used it a few times. Started researching if I could build something more affordable.

August 2025

First Prototype

Built the first version—just basic chat with Gemini. Ugly UI, lots of bugs, but it worked. Showed it to a few friends. They actually used it.

September 2025

Adding Features

Added DeepSeek for coding, image generation, study tools, and text humanization. Each feature was built because someone asked for it or I needed it myself.

October 2025

Public Launch

Launched MATEXAi to the public. Still rough around the edges, still learning, but people are using it and it's helping them. That's what matters.

Continuous Improvement

Working every day to make it better. Fixing bugs, adding features, listening to users. This is just the beginning.

⚠️ A Note About MATEX03 (Beta)

MATEX03 is my AI app builder. It's experimental and in beta. I'm being honest with you: it's not ready for production use. Use it for learning and simple projects only.

Why should I trust a solo developer?

Fair question. You shouldn't trust anyone blindly. But here's the thing: big companies change, get acquired, or pivot. I'm building MATEXAi because I use it myself. My reputation is directly tied to this product. If MATEXAi fails, that's on me. That's a powerful motivator to do things right.

What if you stop maintaining it?

I'm not planning on it, but life happens. If I ever need to shut down, I'll give users at least 3 months notice, provide full data exports, and recommend alternatives. I won't just disappear.

How do you keep prices so low?

No office, no employees, no investors to please. I run MATEXAi efficiently. I also pay for API usage as I go, which keeps costs predictable. When I save money, I pass those savings to users.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. I use Google Cloud's security infrastructure. I don't have access to your password (thanks to Firebase Auth), and I don't train AI models on your chats. Your privacy matters.

Can I request features?

Absolutely. Email me at matexaihelppppp@gmail.com with your ideas. I can't promise to build everything, but I read every suggestion and prioritize features that help the most users.

Do you have investors?

Nope. MATEXAi is bootstrapped—funded by user subscriptions, not venture capital. This means I answer to users, not investors demanding exponential growth.
